We have fallen behind on writing on our blog!! I apologize for this. The students once again began writing entries last week. Either the students or I will be typing up the new blog entries for all to read.

A lot has been happening in our classroom since the last entry. Students have written a book report and built a book float. I must say that ALL of the book floats were awesome!! The students have been giving speeches about their book floats and books. I have been recording the speeches, and I hope to get these on our website for parents to enjoy.

Right now, we are reading mysteries in class. Each group has been reading a different mystery. We have them been using inferences to see if we can solve the mystery before the characters do. I have to say that a lot of the students are making great inferences!! Most of their books are filled with Post-It Notes as they make inferences about what is going to happen next. We will be finishing this unit before Christmas Break.

Just a reminder, report cards will be coming home after the Christmas Holidays. We will be taking our benchmark assessments the week before Christmas break. The Christmas party will be held on December 19th from 1:45-2:45. If you would like to help, please give me a call at school.

Today at school, we did ISTEP in the morning. Then we had a shake, we had goldfish, and a pretzel stick. I also did my work in school today. Then we all had for lunch chicken noodle soup and mash potatoes. Then we had to write 15 paragraphs because someone wrote a bad work on the door frame. We had to do our jobs and do our work, and fill out binders too.

Today we didn’t have morning work. We had an ISTEP test over Language today. Today I had gym. We got top lay opsical relay. After specials, we done reading. We done a page on our story. After reading we went to lunch. We had pizza, green beans, oranges, and elf graham cookies. We have to earn our recess now so we can’t talk in the hallway, but we earned it back. This was very neat. After we eat, we have recess. I played on the swings and with Lucas. We had social studies today. The homework from it was easy. By the time the bell rang, we were kind of noisy. I ride the bus home, so I get ready last.

 

Today we started I step . We have four more days of I step . We had science today. We didn’t have homework. Our story this week is Earthquake Terror. It is really good, but it is not the whole story though. So we can’t take a test on it. We only have one full copy. I think we will read a lot of cool stories this year. We had writing in I step today. I don’t know what we are going to do tomorrow. We watched a movie about the human skeleton. It had other animal’s skeletons too.

 

This morning, I walked into the gym and sat with my class to read. When the bell rang, I went to my class and got everything I needed to start off the day. I went to my seat and started on morning work, which was pretty easy. After morning work, we had to start on ISTEP. And because of it, we had no math today! YIPPIE! The ISTEP seemed very easy for me but it was so boring! I nearly fell asleep! When we were done with the ISTEP, we took a break and we got to eat string cheese and pretzel rods. MY FAVORITE! After that we took a restroom break. When we got back to the classroom, we did some reading. This week we are reading Earthquake Terror by Peg Kehret. After that, we FINALLY went to specials. In art, I got to color my family portrait. After specials we did language and spelling. After that we went to lunch. They had salsbury steak. YUCK! Then we went outside for recess. When we came back to class, since there was no SSP, we went right on to social studies. Then we played a quick game of Homeworkopoly. I didn’t get to play it because there was still absent work I had to get done! But since I’m a clerk, I got to help out. Then we watched the rest of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was time to go so I got all my stuff, and I went out the middle doors. My grandma picked me up. I am so tired and I still have dance to look forward to!

At home, I was playing with Pepper for 4 minutes. Sean and dad asked if I wanted to play Rock Band with them, and I of course said yes, and waited for my mom to show up and take use to Chicago. We waited for 4 hours until my mom got here. When she got here, she told us we were to spend the night at her boyfriend’s house for that day.

The next morning we work up and went to Dunk’n Donuts for breakfast. Then we got bread and went to the park to feed the ducks two bags of bread. Well actually not ust ducks, but seagulls an gesse too. Next, we went to the park to play for a little bit. Then we went back to his house and played World of War Craft. Then we went to bed. Next we left Chicago and went to Logansport. And that is all.

We began our day with our morning work. There is geography, You’re the Teacher, math, and daily packet. Then we reviewed our work with Mrs. Cobb. After that we had to do our vocab packet, but only day 3. Now it’s time for math. We split up to go to these four teachers; Mrs. Perrone, Mr. Turner, Mr. Baer, and Mrs. Cobb. We usually all come back with homework. Then it was time for SSP. We all go split up. I wasn’t happy. Then lunchtime came around and we had smiley potatoes, sausage, and bread with syrup if you wanted. Lunch was over, and it was time for recess. We had to play inside. It’s not fun playing inside. We had to write. Then they called us girls to come down to the cafeteria for volleyball. Then once we got back, a couple of minutes later the bell rang. Then the day ended at once.

Today we went to our classrooms. I did my morning work. We went over it, then was practiced SSP. We went to the restroom after SSP practice. We did Language Arts today, we page 89. Afterward, we went to math class. After math, we went to specials and today’s special was Art. After art, we did reading and ten sentences for spelling. After reading and spelling, we did prefixes and suffixes. After this, we went to lunch. For lunch we had pizza, cookie with M&Ms in it, green beans, and jello with whipped cream on top. After lunch, we went to the restrooms. After lunch, we went to recess and played house, tag, jump rope. After recess, we went to the restrooms. After recess, we went to SSP class. We learned about making a number into a mixed number. After SSP, we had to go back to class. We had to get out our history books and workbooks. We had to learn about time lines in history. We had to do our workbook pages. We had to do our rent. After that we had to do our Frog Binders. Then it was time to go home. Sometimes my Grandma picks me up or I walk.
